Deng Yaping was born on February 6th , 1973 , she started to play table tennis in 1978 , she jioned the Henan table tennis team in 1983 , she joined national table tennis team in 1988 , she went to Tsinghua University and majored in english and management , she became the number one women "s singles player in the ITTF for 1993 to 1998 .
