This bird can be seen in Britain,but its native home is across eastern Asia,in Russia,China,Korea and Japan.Worldwide population is somewhere under 20,000.Extinction of these beautiful birds is due mainly to loggers,hunters and poachers.Known predators include mink,raccoon dogs,polecats,egle owls and grass snakes.
