Charles Chaplin was born in London in 1889. His mother was a dancer and his father was an actor. He started dancing and singing for money in 1894. In 1912, he joined a traveling theater company and went to America. Two years later, someone offered him a part in a film, then he went to Hollywood and became a film director after four years. During the later years, he made many funny films. In 1977, he died in Switzerland. People remember him forever.
